Ingredients
Meatballs
250 g ground beef
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
Sauce
A drizzle of olive oil
1 onion
2 garlic cloves
210 g tomato paste
75 ml boiling water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp turmeric
0,5 tsp ginger powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
Vegetables
0,5 zucchini
1 red bell pepper
Fresh coriander
Instructions
Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then shape into small meatballs. Set aside
In the tagine, heat olive oil and stir the onion and garlic. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
In a cup, mix the tomato paste, boiling water and spices. Pour half of the sauce into the tagine and add the meatballs.
Arrange the sliced zucchini and bell pepper around the meatball, then pour in the remaining sauce.
Cover the tagine and let everything cook slowly until nearly done. Sprinkle fresh coriander on top, cover again, and cook until fully tender
If the sauce becomes too watery, slightly lift the lid with a spoon and turn the heat up to reduce it.
Serve with warm Morrocan bread and enoy every flavorful bite.
